(Towanda, PA) Dayton is a high school student, currently attending Athens Area School District, in Athens Pennsylvania, as a sophomore. At first glance, many would assume that he is just like any other teenage boy, and in many ways he is. But, what many people might not know is that Dayton possesses an extraordinary talent. Dayton's talent involves speed, coordination, and determination; his talent is seen through his racing. Dayton is the proud driver of the #49 DC Warehousing & Recycling mini-stock race car.
Dayton is now starting his seventh year of competitive racing and is not a stranger to any of the area race tracks located throughout the northern and southern regions of Pennsylvania and New York. Dayton first pursued his racing career in 2006. After Dayton's first year of racing, he proved that he had the potential for great success in the organized sport of racing. In 2006, Dayton finished in second place for the overall points and also clenched his first career feature win in the Rookie Purple division at Wyalusing Valley Motorsports Park, also known as WVMP.
Since his first checkered flag win, Dayton has earned numerous other accomplishments. Dayton won his first career Championship in 2008 in the Novice Blue division at WVMP. Dayton also can state, with his head held high, that he finished fourth place in his first ever 4-Cylinder stock car race that took place at the legendary Chemung Speedrome. His successful racing proved that he truly belonged with the more seasoned drivers. In addition to the already mentioned accomplishments, Dayton became the 4-Cylinder Junior Champion in 2009 at the Chemung Speedrome. In 2010, Dayton effectively juggled the task of racing two race cars. He raced at over five different race tracks last year with the advice that he received from Tony & Beth Ann Morgenthau, of BAM Racing, to race on as many different types of track types as possible. This experience would indefinitely expand his racing abilities. In 2010 alone, Dayton raced at over five different race tracks in pursuit of developing new skills that would be beneficial to his career in the racing world.
Dayton will be racing full time in 2011 at the well-known Chemung Speedrome. He will be blessed with the encouraging support of sponsors and countless individuals. To assist the #49 DC Warehousing & Recycling team, Chad Chaffin, a retired NASCAR driver, will be an influential part of the #49 race team this season. Dayton will continue to run both of his race cars again this year. He will be racing from behind the wheel of his Ford Mustang on the asphalt track and will race his Ford Probe on the dirt track. Dayton is anxiously awaiting his first race of 2011 which is taking place at the Chemung Speedrome on May 8th.
