Chemung Speedrome (6/14/09)

(Chemung, NY) Dayton Cote picked up the win in the Dirt-On-Asphalt Challenge held at the Chemung Speedrome on Sunday, June 14th after being turned on lap one. With the car damaged, Cote headed to pit road after starting 5th to have the fenders pulled out and was told by his father and crew that his car was good. His father told him to drive it like stole it and Cote went to the lead on lap 5. With charges from multi time winner and the current Black Rock Speedway Bandits point leader Dylan Cecce. Cote held on to capture his 3rd win of the 2009 racing season. "I would like to thank everyone who helped fix the car and get us back on the track." said Dennis Cote. "I'm very proud as this Dayton's finest win and he held off a fierce competitor in Cecce. The kid had to hit every mark in order to secure his feature win."

The racing action from Saturday, June 13th is currently under protest as the number 15 car failed a compression test and Cote is currently awaiting a final decision.

Dayton Cote will be at the Chemung Speedrome for a 10 lap race on Sunday, June 28. Cote is tentatively planning a trip to the Black Rock Speedway on Friday, July 3rd and will be back at the Chemung Speedrome for another 10 lap race on Saturday, July 4th.
